We are looking to hire a Data analyst who will be part of the 3BL team in Addis Ababa.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Collaborate with survey teams to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.

  • Validate, clean, and organize collected data to maintain data quality.

  • Utilize statistical and data analysis techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in the survey data.

  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to gain insights into sanitary system performance and maintenance needs.

  • Employ GIS tools and techniques to visualize, map, and analyze geospatial data related to sanitary systems.

  • Generate maps and spatial representations to support decision-making processes.

  • Develop and maintain data analysis scripts and tools using Python.

  • Automate repetitive data processing tasks to increase efficiency.

  • Create clear and concise reports, charts, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Present data-driven insights to support decision-making at various levels.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, field technicians, and stakeholders, to address issues and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with IT and software development teams to integrate data analysis solutions into existing systems.

  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive data in compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Data Science, or in any related discipline.

  • Proven experience in data analysis using different tools, especially with survey data.

  • Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.

  • Strong programming skills in Excel and Python for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques i.e PowerBI/Tableau

  • Familiarity with data cleaning, preprocessing, and data wrangling.

  • Report writing skills and effective communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Knowledge of sanitation or sanitary systems is a plus but not mandatory.
