JOB TITLE: Accountant

• DUTY STATION: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

ABOUT US:

Triple Bottom Line Enterprises (3BL) Enterprises was founded in 2017 to improve water access for rural Ethiopians. we work in rural water supply while investing in piped water for rural households, and also supporting the management for existing water systems. we do this in partnership with governments, NGOs, and communities. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• First degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Financial management and related 

• 3 years of relevant work experience for a BA degree.

• Accounting and MS Office suite computer literate.

• Must have good communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Computer literate 

• Peachtree experience.

• Good spoken and written English skills

REQUIREMENTS:

• Complying with all company, local, and federal accounting and financial regulations.

• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting accounting data.

• Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.

• Maintain project-based financial reports, with their respective documentation.

• Presenting financial data to managers, partners, and other entities.

• Maintain accurate financial records.

• Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.

• compute and report taxes to ERCA on time.

• Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.

• Ensuring the presence of the organization's financial documents and data in sufficient manner, such as financial ledgers and related forms and documents in hard and soft copies.

• Ensuring the financial documentation systems of the department are arranged in a reliable and well-organized way.

• Preparing monthly salary payroll for both permanent and contract employees at the end of the month transferring it to the bank, following up the transfer.

• Facilitate control of petty cash.

• Initiate an approved payment request and collect related documents.

• Preparing monthly bank reconciliation.

• Analyzing, posting, summarizing, and preparing financial reports on the accounting software

• Controlling the accounting systems to be free from any frauds and faults.

• Following up on the performance of accounting transactions to be carried on based on the approved accounting rules and regulations.

• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Communication: Effective communication is essential. You need to be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. You also need to be able to listen attentively and understand the needs of others.

Cooperation: Being able to work together with others to achieve a common goal. It also means being willing to compromise and share ideas.

Problem-solving: The ability to identify problems, gather information, and develop solutions.
