CLARA is a Plug & Play technology that automatically disinfects the water passing through a pipeline with on-site produced sodium hypochlorite. CLARA continuously disinfects water flowing in a pipe using only kitchen salt and solar energy. At the same time, thanks to the remote monitoring system installed, NGOs, humanitarian aid agencies, and water facilities can ensure sustainable operations by planning maintenance and reporting KPIs and achievements to the donors.

CLARA project is working on redesigning embedded devices that automate a water disinfection process and send data regarding the health and status of the system to a remote server. It has also a remote monitoring system that receives data from the embedded device to visualize the data and control the embedded system remotely. The embedded board has various sensors, actuators, and communication devices.

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Assembly Engineer to join our team and contribute to the assembly and maintenance of the Clara System, a cutting-edge water disinfection product designed for water utility applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of hydraulic components within the Clara System, contributing to the overall functionality and performance of this essential water disinfection technology.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assembly and Installation: Execute the assembly and installation of hydraulic components within the Clara System according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during assembly or testing phases.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, electrical assembly engineers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless integration of hydraulic components into the Clara System.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of assembly procedures, test results, and any modifications made to hydraulic systems, contributing to a comprehensive record of the assembly process.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and adhere to quality control measures to guarantee the highest standard of hydraulic system performance and overall product reliability.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement in hydraulic assembly techniques and contribute to the enhancement of overall system efficiency.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to production and maintenance teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of hydraulic components and assembly processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience will also be considered.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulic system assembly, preferably in the field of water treatment or a related industry.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.

  • Familiarity with hydraulic testing equipment and procedures.

  • Strong hands-on experience in hydraulic assembly, including the use of pumps, valves, and other related components.

  • The good rasp of reading technical documents and drawings

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hydraulic systems efficiently.
    Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong attention to detail in assembly work and documentation.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in project priorities and deadlines

  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safe working environment.

  • Fluency in English and Amharic, other languages are a plus
